The advantage of enzymes as biological fuel detergents is the speed at which they initiate change, the small volume required and the ease and safety of application and handling.
They are ash-less and safe to use before centrifugal purification.
Fuel starvation in engines is primarily caused by sludge deposited on the fuel filter surface.
Due to the size and ability of microbial fouling - slimes and mats - to attract debris, filters and fuel lines are easily blocked. A double dose of SOLTRONĀ® produces an inexpensive and rapid clean up of the fuel delivery system without causing a mat of dead biomass in the tank bottom.
Contaminated fuel can normally be burned off.
ECOZYME Bio-Enzymes specifically target microbiological fouling in fuel by their natural biocidal ability to disrupt cellular metabolic activity of common fuel biocontaminants.
These are found in the fuel, on surfaces and in tank bottom sludge. Conventional biocides can not penetrate Sulphate Reducing Bacteria (SRB's) in tank bottoms. SRB's are a prime source of corrosion, fuel hazing and souring, and hydrogen sulphide.

ECOZYME Bio-Enzymes in HFO: Pre-combustion, combustion, post combustion.
The biotransformation/biodegradation of compounds, such as agglomerated asphaltenes and sludge into fuels, rather then just dispersal, reduces the
load on purification systems and aids removal of catalytic fines. This action
increases the combustion efficiency of fuels resulting in cleaner
turbochargers, exhaust systems, and reduced acid smuts and odour.
